The Government is not bound by any priority of application. The Government will deal only with applicants, or their duly constituted representatives, in the Possession. Areas not exceeding 5000 acres, which are not included in any advertised lands, can, if available, be obtained at any time by settlers in the Possession. The Government will advertise from time to time as blocks of land of over 1000 acres become available. Further particulars can be obtained by aplication to the Agent-general for Queensland, 1 Victoria street. London, S.W., or from the Chief Secretary, Brisbane, or the Government Secretary, Port Moresby, British New Guinea. A copy of "The Land Ordinance of 1899,'' and a map of British New Guinea showing the position of the above lands, may be seen at the Head Office of the Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington.
