Young Love, who sins ten times a, day, And never kno»vs repentance, To Woodbine Cottage flew away, And, knocking, claim'd an entrance. " "Walk in, my pretty gentleman," Says Nelly, civil ever, While Maggie smoothes his luffled wings, And takes his bow and qiiiver. Seated between the lovely £air, His blood in rapture rushes, Fired now by Maggie's lustroiis eyes, And now by Nellie's blushes. He sighs, he looks from this to that, His self-possession losing. For why? He found the twain so fair, 'Twas difficult the choosing. And so, at last, to end his doubts (The theft may be forgiven), Beneath his wings he bound them both, And wing'd away to heaven
