THE TAHUNA PARK TROTTING CLUB. A meeting of the committee was hold on Monday night, Mr J. N. Brown presiding in the unavoidable absence of Mr S. S. Myers, and there being also present Messrs 0. Allen, .I/M'Ghie, J. M. Wilson, F. J. Townscnd, J. C. Short, and the Hon. H. Gourlcy. An appeal v.as received from D. Clnrk, asking that tho disqualification of dute the 9th December, 1898, in connection with the Cling ca=e, be removed. It was resolved that the letter be received and that Clark be informed that ho could apply attain in six months' lime. Tho New Zealand Trotting Association wrote stating that it had endorsed the disqualification of G. S. Wallace and the bay gelding Kelt, and suggesting that tho term bo varied from " during pleasure." It was resolved that tho secretary reply to the effect that it was the intention of the committee to keen the disqualification in forco for at least three years. The committee decided to send co Mr W. Anderson, of Out ram, an expression of sympathy with him in his prolonged illness, and a hope that he would soon "be restored to health and be able to resume his duties as steward. It was decided to apply to the Talmna Recreation Company asking it to bank up the bottom corner of tho track nearest the entrance pates. The club having had two very successful meetings, it was resolved to grant the following bonuses : Handicapper lOgs, secretary lOgs, and caretaker sgs. Programmes for the March and May meetings were approved. The March meeting; is fixed for the 22nd and 28th March, when the increase of stakes comes to £150 ; and the winter meeting is fixed for the 25th May and the 2nd June, one day on each side of the Oamaru meeting, tho stakes being increased by £30.
