Farmer, Southbridge. — The way to have cured tho swelling was to have had your filly surgically treated when the lesion was newly done. It is very qtvestionablo if anything will take il down now, and as you say she is not lame, it may be better to leave it alone. "Let sleeping dogs lie." Nature may patch it up a little. R- W. — Lameness is at all times difficult to locate, and requires a minute examination even by an expert, and in your case it will be necessary to have her examined by a qualified veterinary surgeon. In my opinion her ailment was not caused by a weed.
