THE DIRECT STEAMERS.
The National Mortgage and Agency Company have received a cablegram advising of the departure of the Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company's new steamer Karamea on the 25th ult. for Cape ports. The Otarama passed the Cape on December WELLINGTON, December 6.— Arrived : Rakaia, from London, via Hobart. WELLINGTON, -December 7.— Sailed : Gothic, for London. The following cargo was shipped from Wellington : 8903 sheep, 1625 lambs, 2494 quarters beef, 387 bales hemp, 1216 do wool, 363 cn&ks tallow, 24 do oil, 153 cases gum, 56 casks casings, 35"bales basils, 5 do hair, 20 cases seeds, 39 pgks sundries. , WELLINGTON, December 11.— The Paparoa left Capetown for Wellington on tho 7th inst. .AUCKLAND,- December 7.— The Shire liner Nairnshire arrived from London, via" Sydney, to load genoral cargo for London under the agency of the New Zealand Shipping Company.
