RULES AND REGULATIONS. j Horses running in District Races must be j the property of owners nominating for fully three months prior to races. The first race will start at noon sharp each duy. No entrias will be received for any of the above races except upon the condition that all disputes, claims and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or those whum they K may appoint. Their decision on all points to -be final. The winner of any race of the value of £20 or over after the appearance of the weights for the Naseby Cup and Welter Handicap to carry 7lb penalty; the, winner of two or inoi-c such races to" carry 101b. - Nominators for the Maiden Handicap and for the Trots must* specify previous performances. Trotting horses to carry not less than list ; ponies under 14 hands lin to carry not less than lOst. Names, ages, and pedigree (if. any) of the horses entered with colours to be worn by the riders, to be forwarded to the Secretary with each and every nomination or the full fine will j be enforced. All stakes paid in full. Horses walking over to receive 50 per cent., of the stakes. Any person entering a protest must deposit £2, and should the Stewards deem such protest frivolous the deposit will be forfeited. . No entries or acceptances will be received oa any, pretence whatsoever after the day and hour specified in each case. The ruleß of the Metropolitan Club of tho district will be strictly adhered to, both .as j regards the racing and the working of the totalisator. The Trotting Races will be run under the Rules of the New^ Zealand Trotting Association. No Bookmaker or Spieler will be admitted to the Racecourse or enclosures, and any Person Laying Totalisator Odds will at once be ejected and warned off, and all admission to the course -will be by tickets with this regulation printed thereon.
