LORD LYONS siro is the unbeaten horse Lord Salisbury (imp., 1207 Clydesdale Stud Sook), dam Myrtle, by Prince of Wales (imp.), grand dam Molly M/Kissock (imp. by the late Mr M'Callum), her siro Lord Lyon (4£9 C.5.8.). Molly M'Kissock took first prize at Ayr and Dumfries in 1879. Lord Salisbury cost £1500, Prince of Wales 1500gs, and Young Prince of Wales 900gs. LORD LYON has been shown at Oamaru. Dunedin, Gore, Tapanui, Invercargill, and Taieri, and was first and cliampion each time shown. He is the best breeding horse south of Oamaru, and breeders will be serviijg their own interests by encouraging a man to bring a horse of his class into the district. Only a limited number of mares will be take»i. LORD LYON is a sure fotvl-gettqr. He is sire of Flower of Balmoral, tho mare Mr Patrick gave £100 for at the 1896 Taieri show, and whenever mated with a decent mare leaves prizetakers; and with such a capable man as James Walters in charge, patrons can rest assured that their mares will be properly attended to. Good oaddocking for mares at Is 6d per week. Mares sent by rail and consigned to R. Charters, Mosgiel, will be promptly attended to. All care taken, but no responsibility.
