CAPETOWN,. December 4.
Tho British transport Ismore has gonl ashora at St. Holena Bay, Cape Colony. She had 500 artillerymen and hussars aboard, all of whom wera safely landed. It is feared that it will be difficult to safb the horses. '
Most of the gang, arms, and ammumtioa have been saved from the transport Ismore,. ashore at St. Helena Bay. Only 20 horses were landed. Tho vessel is going to pieces. ' LONDON, December 4.
It has finally been decided that Major* general Thomas Kelly-Kenny, C.8., In-spector-general of Auxiliary Forces and Recruiting, shall command the sixth -division now proceeding to South Africa.
The Government are receiving many offers from all classes for permission to ■nurse the wounded who are coming home from the Transvaal.
BRISBANE, December 5.
The Agent-general has cabled that Captain Sellheim, of the local defence force, was specially and honourably mentioned for heroism at the Modder River.
