THE CATHOLIC BAZAAR.

TThe Catholio bazaar at Port Chalmers was brought to a close on Saturday evening after a most successful season. The children went through their action songs and dances, Misa Staunton, with Mr and Mrs Frillingham, contributed some songs in excellent style, and prior to the close the Bey. Father M'Mullen, who stated the bazaar had been opened for the purposo of procuring funds to pay off the liabilities of the church, thanked his Worship the Mayor and tho lady stall-holders, particularly Miss Staunton, of Dunedin, who furnished the Spanish stall at her own expense, the childien, and the band. The speaker added that tho cash, results of the bazaar exceeded JE3OO, while v. number of valuable 'articles were 'still undisposed " of. He was gratefully thankful to all «&o had assisted in the project.
