A TEMPERANCE ADVOCATE. AUCKLAND, August 28.
Mr Joseph Malms, who arrived by the Moana, is making a tour of the world under the auspices of the International Society of Good Templars. After his visib to New Zealand he proceeds to Australia, returning to England via Africa, India, and Europe. The combined temperance organisations ■welcomed Bro. Malms, Right Grand Worthy Templar of England, at the Central Mission Hall. There was a crowded audience. He gave an address first to the Good Templars in session, and afterwards an address at a public meeting on the state of the temperance question jn Eng. land. He leaves on Thursday fmp. .New Plymouth, and thence south, and back.fco Wellington*, from where he departs fqi Australia.
