By David M'Kbe Wbighx. No. 6.— 81G JACK. Big Jack Anderson's back from the spree, Blued his cheque in Flannigan's along -with two or three, Jumped liis horso across the bar, sold hi 3 swag for beer, And he says he's getting right, but his head a still queer. Good sort 'of fellow is Jack, Fool for himself, they say; Grafter at making a cheque. Ready to chuck it away. .Handiest man on the run, Kindest heart on the plain; Full of spirits and fun, Won't see his like again. Give his last shilling away, Give the shirt off his back; Publicans find him pay, So do the chaps on the track. Clever chap in his line, Knows about books and men; Only he goes on the wine, Might be in business again. Works like a horse on the ivn 4 Dresses the worst of all, Keeps up other men's fun, Laughs away through it all. Thinks when He's aIP alone; Thinking is making him grey; Some of the seeds he's sown Make tough reaping to-day. Big Jack Anderson's back from the spree, Blued his cheque at Flannigan's along with two or three; Jumped his horse across the bar, sold his swag for beer, And he says he's getting right, but his head* still queer.
