The weekly meeting of the committee of the Otago Rugby Union, held on Monday, was attended by Messrs Gallaway (president), Morris, Campbell, Duncan, Harris, M'Laren, Payne, Strong, and Hutchison. A letter was received from the Owaka Club requesting the union to send a team picked from the junior teams to play matches at Milton and Owaka. — It was resolved to refer the matter to the Match Committee to pick a team from the junior grade to play a team from the Milton, Owaka, and Lawrence Clubs at Milton. A letter was received from the Wellington Rugby Union conveying the thanks of the union for the treatment shown to the Wellington representatives in Dunedin It was -decided to suggest to the Southland Union the 6th September as the date of the return match between Southland and Otago in Invercargill.
