An inquest was begun at Chivistchurch Hospital on the 15t(h on the body of Charlotte Louisa Amelia- Gash, who died at the hospital on August 14. Two Qoctors made a post mortem, and attributed death to poison, probably taken to procure a miscarriage, though it might have been taken to destroy 'h.er life. j A meeting, called by the clergy, held at Christchurch on the 16th, and presided over f by Bishop Julius, to advocate no license and reduction, was largely attended. A resolution was carried expressing the opinion that the present system was a continual menace to the best interests of the country, and pledging those present to vote' no' license and reduction at next p011... The secretary of the Liberty League has asked Bishop Julius to .call and preside over a meeting to discuss the question of personal liberty versus prohibition. j
