Otago Witness Seventh Problem and Solution Tourney,
This competition is now open, and will closs on November 30 next. It is for original twom've problems which have not hitherto been published. The prizes are: First prize .62 2 8 Second prize 1 11 S A prize of 10s 6d will be awarded to tht selver who gains the highest number of points. Not more than three problems from each composer will be accepted for competition. Problems from beyond New Zealand will be accepted when the letter containing them bears a post mark date not later than November 30 next. The problems will, at the option •! competitors, be published either under the composer's name or under a motto. Problems •which are before publication found to be unsaunel will not be published.
