NEWMARKET BLOODSTOCK SALES.

Believing that sportsmen the world over ire interested in the English bloodstock market movements, I follow my custom of giving the leading lines at the July auctions as reported locally. On the first day, among the brood mares from the Blankney Stud Listen was taken by Mr Cecil Howard for 1150gs, and into the same hands went Queen Adelaide at 710gs, and a mare by Galopin from Mother Superior at HOOgs. Of the other lots submitted, Orsova, by Bend Or out of Fenella, fell to a bid of HOOgs by Bardn Ha*kanyi. The highest figure obtained was 3500g5, given by Baron Rothschild's representative for the brood mare Cheana (by Hampton out of Chevil Grove), sent up by Mr R. Marsh, with a filly-foal by St. Frusquin; while 3100gs was the price paid by the Duke of Devonshire for Greeba the dam of Eager. Fairly good prices were realised in some instances on the second day, the highest (loOOgs) being paid by Mr H. J. King for Amurath, the winner of the Brocklesby Stakes last year. The five-year-old Sligo was taken by the Beverley House trainer, G. Blackwell, for 1500gs, and jthe brood mare Acmena (covered by Matchmaker) changed hands to- Mr L. Brassey for 900g8. In the evening most of the lots subpiit?s<3 failed to find purchasers, and Mr B. A. Brice was left with nine out of his 10 yearlings on bis hands. The best price obtained was 1650g5, at which the yearling filly by St. Angelo out of La Vierge became the property of Mr J. A. Miller. On the third day yearlings from the Blankney Stud were among those to come under the hammer, and a filly by Galopin out of Mary Seaton realised the best price, her purchaser being Mr iW. H. "Walker,- to whom she was knocked down for 1250g5. Una Nina, by Ravensbury from Nenemoosha, sent up with Lord Londonderry's yearlings, went to Sir E. Vincent for 1150gs, but the highest figure Avas reached in the case of Ruakin, a son of St. Frusqum tad Ambleside (bred by Colonel Brocklehurst), for whom Mr W. Raphael gave 2100gs. Most of the lots submitted on the closing day found purchasers. In the morning the highest price obtained was 850gs, given by Sir W. Griffith for Glim, a filly by Kendal out of Glare, and in the evening Mr Simons Harrison obtained 1500gs for the filly by Orme out of Grace .Conroy, and the half-dozen disposed of reVliaed the capital average of 770 l-fes.
