From Weird Corea.
In Corea there are said to be seven wonders which baffle elucidation. The first is a hot mineral spring which will heal anything from a cut to a cancer. The second consists of two springs, so arranged that when one is full the other is empty. The water has the peculiarity of making whatever is cooked in it sweet and delicious. The third wonder is a cavern in the mountains, in which a cold, piercing wind rages perpetually. The fourth is the ineradicable Forest. This is a large grove of pine trees which begin to sprout again directly they are cut down. If it is destroyed by fire it is growing strongly again out of 'the ashes the next day. The fifth wonder is the floating stone, in honour of which a temple has been built. This stone appears to be resting on the ground, but if two men. holding each an end of a piece of string, stand on one side of the stone and drag the string beneath, it will pass under the siouo without encountering any obstacle. The sixth wonder is another stone called the Warm Rock, on tho top of which is erected a small inn. However cold the weather .may be, the inn is always warm, as the stone # ve3 forth great heat. The seventh and last wonder is a drop of the inspiration of Buddha. This is enshrined m a temple, around which, by the supposed virtuo of the "drop," there is a small'detert of more than a chain square.
