HER EYES.

Sweet orb 3, the dazzling brightness of whose beam Shines in my soul, Thy radiance tells of love within, Fairest of all. So meek and pensive, holylike and pure:! Light from above Shines through the " windows of the soul "• Of her I love. Fair guiding stars, whose glistening ray Cheers my poor heart, Smile on, my every fear allay, And ne'er depart. Pour forth thy sweetness, c'en till death* Shall claim its own. Then in a purer light thou'lt shine Before God's throne. July, 1890. _M.
