LONGIDGE.

July 10.— After a long spell of beautiful winter weather we have at last got snow, it starting on the 7th, and falling heavily all day, till out in the open it lay to a depth of between 6in and 7in. A hard frost set in at night, making the outlook for stock pretty bad where artificial feeding is not resorted to. Fortunately a thaw and rain set in on the Bth, and by now tho land is almost visible again, but of course everywhere it is very sloppy, and the theiruorneter is below zero.
