The total quantity of wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is 2,730,000 quarters, and for the Continent 1,330,000 quarters. A cargo of Australian wheat (ex Alexander Black) sold fbr 29s 3d. Bank shares: Australasia, £58;- New .South Wales, £39 10s; Union of Australia, £30; National of New Zealand, £2 15s. Stocks: Bank of New Zealand 4 per cent, guaranteed stock, £102 ; New Zealand Loan and Mercantile 4 per cent, prior lien debentures, £93. At the tallow sales 599 casks were offered and 131 sold. Prices for all kinds remain unchanged. The American visible supply of wheat is 46,566,000 bushels. Jxily 14. The Bunk of England returns show the reserve to be £20,031,000. The stock of gold coin and bullion is £30,365,000; proportion of reserve to liabilities, 41.39; notes in circulation total, £36,989,000; public deposits, £7,931,000 ; other deposits, £40,297,000 ; Government securities, £13,359,000; other securities, £32,980,000. At the opening sales of new season's teas the low-priced lots were in good demand, and ranged higher than last year. The finer teas were neglected.
