Canon Richards, warden of Selwyn College, in tho " New Zealand Guardian " for June (which, by the way, contains many items of interest) states that the treasurer, after taking account of the income from all .sources, reports a probable deficit of £60 for the year. — Referring to the proposed Church Council, our contemporary says : "It will, in Dunedin, be different from one in Wellington, which is sectarian. The Dunedin Council has nothing to do with theological questions or matters of church organisation, dogma, or any matters peculiar to any religious body.
