LEAGUE OF WHEELMEN.

The ordinary meeting of the Executive of the League of Wheelmen was held on the 29th ult. Present— Messrs W. E. Thompson (in the chair), Williams, Goode, Lethaby, Kirk, M'Kechnie and Alack. Correspondence was read as under : — From Mr J. Chalmers, stating that he had not settled his dispute with the Druids' Committee of Wellington. It was Tesolved that the matter be referred to the Appeal Council. Two riders at Lawrence were suspended for a year for falsely accusing an official of betting. From the International Cyclists' Association, with reference to the affiliation .of the New Zealand League of Wheelmen, stating that the League had been affiliated, and asking for the appointment of a representative. The secretary was appointed as representative of the League. Mr M'Kechnie was nominated by the Lawrence Club as their delegate, and he was appointed. A letter was read from Mr Harley, the secretary of the N.Z.A.A.A., stating the letter re conference would be laid before his committee. A letter was read from Mr P. M. Muir, of Dunedin, asking for reinstatement as an amateur. The request was granted. A letter was read from Mr W. B. Eyre, Teferee at Auckland, with reference to the warning of riders at the Championship meeting. Several members expressed their opinion that the warnings should have been given before the men started in their heats, and not when they were racing on the track. The letter was received. The secretary was instructed to see when the Appeal Council could meet. After the discussioa of some /routine matters, the meeting terminated.
