TRADE WITH RHODESA.
LONDON. May 4. I Mr Traverner, Victorian Minister for ] Agriculture, at present in London, discussed with Mr Rhodes the prospects for the development of a Victorian trade with Rhodesia, via Beira. Mr Rhodes said the Portuguese charge an import duty of 3 per cent. If Victoria decided to make regular shipments of produce he would arrange for refrigerating cars on the railway.
