THE SOUDAN.
CAIRO, May 4. Lord Kitchener recently sent Ibraham Pasha as envoy to the latter's uncle, the Sultan of Darfur, with an escort of 150 men. Upon arriving at his destination, Ibraham found that his uncle had been dethroned. An engagement between the Egyptian escort and the followers of Alidnar, the usurper, ensued. One hundred and thirty of Ibraham's force were killed, but tiie remainder "reached KhartoTim in safety.
