LEAGUE OF NEW ZEALAND WHEEL MEN
At the last meeting of the executive of Ihe League or N.Z. Wheelmen, Mr 1?. 'M'Kechnie in the chair, it was decided that the riders at the St. Patrick's sports, Dunedin, on March 17 should be asked to publish a contradiction of the statement that oae of the officials had been betting on the results of the meeting. A special permit was given for cyclists to compete at the Nelson Floral Fete meeting, and a special permit was granted the Star CO., Waimate, for May 24, for members only. The Auckland C.C. ■wrote appointing F. S. Malcolm their delegate. . G. H. Manson was appointed delegate for thevStar C.C, Waimate. A permit was granted the Reefton C.C. for May 24. J. W. Jones was granted the record to Leeston (2hrs 28£min). "A. Calder wa* granted the Dunedin record (18hrs 20min). It was resolved to ask the secretary to the championship meeting at Wanganui for particulars in connection with the fining of rider?. The account? in with the meeting showed — receipts £315 5s 6d, credit balance £24 5s 6d. Consideration was deferred. The que?tion of the proposed revision of the rules was left in the hands of the rules-revision committee. Four riders who had not paid their entry fees to the Aehburton Club were given jseven days tc pay up in. The meeting then adjourned.
