ANTI-RITUAL CRUSADE. LONDON, May 8.
The Archbishops of Canterbury and York have commenced hearing the ritual cases against the Rev. Mr Westall, of St. Cuthbert's Church, Kensington, and the Rev. Edward Ram, of Norwich, who are cited for using incense lights during the service, thereby disregarding the advice of their respective bishops.
Lord Salisbury, in ft letter to the Liverpool Conservative Association, made reference to Ritualism, and pointed out the great dangers and evils possible unless discipline, which had been so seriously impaired, was restored. The efforts of the bishops towards % sounder condition of things and in restoring respect for the law deserved the hearty rapport of all churchmen.
