THE SAMOAN CRISIS.
MELBOURNE, May 3.
The Premier, Sir G. Turner, has received' a "cable from Mr Chamberlain, in reply tc his message, stating that British interests in Samoa are receiving, , and will continue to receive, the ser^jfs attention of the Imperial Government.
WASHINGTON, May 7.
Admiral Kautz, writing to his brother from Samoa, says that Herr Rose's (t'ia German consul) arrogance and unreasonableness obliged him to act as he did in order to avoid national disgrace.
