Perham, C.E., engineer for water conservation, after viaiting the Eweburn reservoir works, expressed himself as well pleased with the progress being made with the embankment, which has now been raised to a height of between 28ft and 30ft. An endeavour is being made to complete the works before .the spring floods. Mr Perham will report suggest- " ing a deviation of the railway at Ida valley so as to go round a site which he considers mutable for an irrigation reservoir*
