SALE- OF STOCK AT WAIKOUAITI.

Messrs Maclean and Co. report: —We held a sale of surplus etock from the estates of Messrs Heckler and Nankivell and Son, at . Waikouaiti, yesterday. Tiie attendance was very fair, and the quality of the 6tock offered being really good, bidding was exceedingly animated, and prices realised were most satisfactory, and indeed it was freely spoken of as one of the best sales held in the district for a number of years. Following are the prices: — 127 wethers at 10s, 124 do at 13s 9d, 68 do at 12s Id, 82 do at 13s 2d, 40 do at 10s Bd, 31 do at 8s od, 81 ewes at 6s 6d, 83 lambs at 6s Id, 90 do at 6s 6d, and privately 200 do at a highly satisfactory price, 6 steers at-* £3 12s 6d to £4 12s 6d, 2 do at £2 12s 6d, 2 heifers £2 15s, £3 15s.
