; LONDON, April 25. The total quantity of wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is 3,070,000 quarters, and for the Continent 1,480,000 quarters. Share quotations : Australian and New Zealand Mortgage Company's 4£ per cent, debentures, 78^. Wheat at Mark Lane is firm, and is 6d dearer on the week. April 26. At the tallow sales 673 casks were offered, and 30 sold. Prices for all sorts are unchanged. The pig iron market is excited. To-day's quotation, £59. The American visible wheat supply is estimated at 49,189,000 bushels. April 28. The Bank of England returns show the stock of gold, coin, and bullion at £29,135,000; reserve, £20,673,000; proportion of reserve to liabilities 40.60. The notes in circulation total £27,399,000 ; public deposits, £12,548,000; other deposits, £38,181,000 ; Government securities, £13,388,000 ; other securities, £34,539,000. Three months' bills are discounted at 2 3-16 per cent. Consols are quoted at 110i-. Quotations for Colonial Government stocks are subjoined, compared with those ruling at tho close of last week : —
