SYDNEY, April 26. At the meeting of the New South Wales Rugby L T nion yesterday a letter was read from the Auckland Union offering £400 for two matches with the English team, but it was decided that the time at the disposal of the visitors would not admit of acceptance of tho offer. The local Rugby Union have fixed the dates of the matches with the English team. Tlip secretary of the New Zealand Union wrote slating that permission will nof be granted to New Zealand players to take part in any of the representative matches.
