[Fanciers and breeders of dogs arc cordially invited to contribute items to ttiis column. "Terror ' n ill endeavour to roaka his department as interesting and up-to-date as possible, but in order to do this he must ha\e the co-oper»tiou ofhis read-rs hence he trusts thi3 imitation if ill be chcerfullj responded to.]

ANSWER TO CORRESPONDENT. Constant Reader. — I understand that Mr M'Donald, care Messrs J. and J. Arthur, tailors, George street, Dunedin, has one for sale secondhand. For a new machine you cannot do better than apply to Mr Roberts, of Abbotsford.

— I would direct attention to Mr James Lilico's announcement in his advertisement in this issue.

The Dunedin Fanciers' Club boasts quite a number of new members on their committee this year, and, as all are working hard, the show should be a big success. ' A lot of good special prizes and medals are arranged for, and this no doubt will swell the entries. Otago has every advantage, and should be able lo hold her own, and it is to be hoped that all Otago Fanciers will rally round and see that they are not put out by outsiders.. The show this year is to be held about three weeks earlier thai} usual, and I consider this a step in the right direction, as several breeders last year did not compete owing to having mated their pens. Given good weather the show this year should be a record one.

— The Ladies' Kennel Association of Great Britain, of which the Princess of Wales is patron, gave £3000 in prizes at its show in Dublin on the Bth, 9th, and 10th March last. The ladies will hold another grand show at Regent's Park at the end of June, when £3500 will be given in prizes.
