WELLINGTON, April 17. The bank returns for the first quarter of tho year show : Liabilities, £15,761,256 ; assets. £17,349,055 ; overdrafts amounted to £9,106,222 ; deposits— fixed £7,837,264, free £5,769,555 ; note circulation, £1,121,730 ; coin and bullion reserve, £2,719,499.
