L.O.G.T. GRAND LODGE.
CHRISTCHURCH, April 6. At the Independent Order of Good Templar's Grand Lodge session the seeretary'sreport. showed that there were 3822 memDcrs of good standing now, and 115 lodges belonging to the Order. The report of the Grand Treasurers, Bro C. J. Thorn and G.E.S. Bro G. Andrews, and of the financial committees were read and adopted. The Grand Superintendent of Juvenile Temples, Sister D. C. Cameron, gave her report, which showed that much aggressive work had been done among the juveniles. There w^re in the colony 40 Temples, with a membership of 1403. " The Grand Lodge expressed its high appreciation of the indefatigable labours of the G.S.J.T. April 7. At the 1.0. G.T. Grand Lodge session, Bro. E. M. Taylor -was elected Grand Chief; Bro. George Petherick, Grand Councillor; Sis. Duncan, Grand Vice-templar; Sis. Cameron, Superintendent of Juvenile j Templars; Bro. D. C. Cameron, Grand Secretary; Bro. Thorn, Grand Treasurer; Rev. W. C. Woodward, chaplain. Bro. Cameron was elected Grand Lodge representative to the International Supreme Lodge session at Torinto in June next, with Bro. E. M. Taylor as alternative. The question of the formation of worthy grand lodges was not entertained. It was resolved to enter a strong protest against any change in the ritual to suit Oriental religionists.
