FATAL FIRE IN NEW YORK.

SEVENTEEN LIVES LOST. NEW YORK, April 9. A seven-storeyed house belonging to Mr i Wallace Andrews, one of New York's millionaires, was destroyed by fire, and the entire family of 13, excepting two servants, perished in the flames. The fire leapt across the street and destroyed the house opposite, where six persons perished. In- j cendiarism is suspected.
