WELLINGTON WING WHISPERS.

By P. RoMnu.

BOOKINGS. Pollard's Opera Company — 3rd to 22nd April. Dramatic Students — 3rd, 4th, and 6th May (pencilled only). Messrs Williamson and Musgrove's Company — 16th June to Ist July. Broughs — 20th July to sth August, and return season 28th August to 2nd September. April 7. Dear Pasquin, — No wonder Tom Pollard, Fred Duval, and all the persons covered by the company are looking sleek and well. The company opened its don't-know-how-many season on Monday last, and the audience simply fell over itself for places, seats, or room for its feet. "The Gay Parisienne" drew the holida\ crowd. To quote the Post: Miss Lily Stevens takes up the part of Nora, vacated by Mis« Marion Mitchell, no longer in the ranks of the Pollard Company, and Mr Charles Cartjr is introduced for the first time as primo tenore, at a stage which gives him tho opportunity of exhibiting his notes in the song 'Take a charming little maid," from the opera "Princo Bulbo," composed by Mr H. T. Harrison, the company's musical director, and produced here a year or two ago. The song was well sung, and was encored. The " Gay Parisienne " made way for "The French Maid " last night, and on Monday we are to have "A Gaiety Girl." If it wasn't for the Pollards just now we should be dead for want of amusement, for I have nothing else to record.
