Tykes and Bikes.
Outside a big stores in London, a correspond dent of a Home paper recently witnessed the scene depicted in this little drawing. All along the front of the building, close to the wall, there appeared in one long line an interesting row of dogs and bicycles, carefully placed alternately. When spoken. to upon the subject, the commissionaire in charge said : "loused to grumble at the 'bikes' at first, all ends up. I looked on them as a thorough
I nuisance, only calculated to render more 'diffi- | cult my job of minding the pet dogs of cus- ! tomers who had gone inside. i " We've altered all that now, however. Ab i you see, we have a cycle holder in the wall, and then a ring and dog chain in turns. What is the result? Why, the bikes divide off each. ! dog from the one next to him ; and though : the tykes iray glare at each other through the i wheels, we now have no fights like there used { to be when my back was turned as I was put- ' ting a lady into her carriage. To-day, I as1 sure you, 1 am delighted to see ladies come shopping on their wheels."
