WELLINGTON NOTES.
By Omlooker.
Neither the owner nor trainer of Boreas journeyed to Dunedin tc see the gelding. I know for\i fact that the owne-i backed him each day. Jenkins coupled Djin Djin with Boreas as his cup selection. The owner was somewhat surprised at the horse's form being questioned and wired to Low for an explanation, which was to the effect that the horse galloped without plates the first day and in them on the second. Ono thing -noticeable about Boreas is that when he wins he generally does so easily.
Mr JO3II Prosser was away with Titoki at Napier and singularly enough he had also a protest entered against him tho same day for reversal of form.
The reason that Boreas is being sold is that tho owner is disgusted with the way he has been handicapped. Although Boreas missed tho principal staka he would have been a bargain -lit £'500.
