Lord Lyon's sire is the unbeaten horse Lord Salisbury (imp., 1207 Clydesdale Stud Book), dam Myrtle, by PriDce of Wales (imp.), grand dam Molly M'Kissock (imp. by the late Mr ivTCallum), her sire Lord Lyon (489 C.5.8.). He is sire of Flower of Balmoral, the mare Mr Patrick gava £100 for at the 1896 Taieri show, and whenever mated with a decent mare leaves priyetakers; and with siich a capable man as James Walters in charge, patrons can rest assured that their mares will be properly attended to. Good paddocking for mares at Is 6d per week. Mares sent by rail and consigned to R. Charters Mosgiel, will be promptly attended to. All caro taken but no responsibility.
