ODAMS'S FERTILISERS. [By Special SsL»9ajs^£|3Si Appointment to Hxr Majesty *^^^^^^b. tiie Queen.] Odams's Manures Have Been Used on the Royal Farms for Forty Years. Having been recently appointed New Zealand agent for the Odams Manure and Chemical Company, I have pleasure in inviting the attention of Farmers and Agriculturists to the exceptional merit of their productions. No fertilisers are better known in the old country than Odams's, and a glance at the following results will prove their fitness for this colony. The tests were made by Mr J. Bayne, Director of Agriculture at the Canterbury Agricultural College, and thp results which were laid before the Board of Governors, and embodied in a report to tho iWeekly Press of September 21, are as cai'efully ascertained and official as it is possib'e to get them. In the first two experiments referred to it will to noted that on a uniform expenditure of 5s per acre, the product of Odams's Superphosphates exceeded that of any other by 2 tons 12cwt and 2 tons 3cwt of root crop per acre respectively. • ODAMS'S SUPERPHOSPHATE. 35 to 38 per cent. Soluble Phosphate of Lime. 3 to 5 per cent. Undissolved Phosphate of Lime. Odams's Superphosphate is of exceptional richness, and maintains its reputation at Home and abroad as a potent fertiliser. For many year 3 some hundreds of tons of this Standard manure have been imported for •use on Mr John Grigg's celebrated Longbeach estate, and for admixture with animal organic material by some of the chief freezing companies of the colony. Indents will be received for shipments for next season's delivery, and these "will be collected and lumped to secure the lowest possible freights All Superphosphates double-bagged in 2cwt bags. ODAMS'S SHEEP DIP. These Dips, which are in powder (poisonous) and fluid (non-poisonous) are the most effective and valuable preparations knowi? to breeders of repute in the old country, where for nearly 50 years the Odams Company have been purveyors of dip to the Royal farms of England. Originally formed from amongst the yeomanry, its directors to-day are all noted breeders and connoisseurs of stock ; and farmers are safe and can" rely upon the judgment and honesty of their own class upon the board. All sizes in stock. ODAMINE DISINFECTANTS. INVALUABLE for the HOUSEHOLD and STEADING. FLUID, POWDER and SAWDUST. BSR9DER TWISgg. There has been a sharp rise in this article, And some clever "cornering" would have sent prices to 5d or 6d had the SpanishAmerican war continued to afford a pretext for doing so. Farmers will do well to tend in their orders, which will be filled at the Lowest Possible Price, IN NO CASE EXCEEDING 4^d, rail paid, for decent lines. LUBRICATING OIL I am importing the highest grade of oil which comes to this colony in the British Admiralty Oil for engines, cylinders, and light, fast-running machinery. Price, 20s for sgal drum, or 4s per gallon for kegs of about 18gal, inclusive of keg and tap. A heavier black Mineral Oil for Agricultural machinery, heavy dredge gearing, etc., 15s for sgal drum, or 3b per gallon by keg as above. DUX CULTIVATORS - - - - km DRILL PLOUGHS.
