WELLINGTON, August 20. A deputation from the Victoria College Council waited on the Premier this mornng, and asked that the Mount Cook Prison >uildings or the Girls' High School ihould be given as an endowment for the iniversity buildings. Mr Seddon said that omethin'g should and would be done for he university in the matter of building acommodation, and he suggested a choice beng made from the following : the Tinakori oad Ministerial residence, tho Museum, he Mount Cook Prison, and the Girls' ligh School. Eventually it Tras decided to nspect these four sites, with a view to a election being made from them.
