MASONIC.
Acting on instructions received from tbe Grand Lodge of Eagiantf, Lodge Obago, BH, E.C., held a special meeting to determine whether or not the lodge shall remain under the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of England. A large muster of members was present. Bro. F. Foote, (he Worshipful Master, presided, and Imposed the follow in rj resolution :: — •' fhafc this Lodge of Otago, 844, 8.C., do maintain its connection with and continue* icfl allegiance to the Grand Lodge of England." The motion ■waa seconded by Bro. Barnard, "W.M.-elecb, and ciiried unanimously.,
To give a State pension of 5s a week to evorybody over 65 years of age in the United Kingdom the sum annually required would be £24-^90,615.
