Sir George Newnes, speaking at a farewell luncheon aboard the Southern Cross, so id he thought it -would be a mistake for M. Borchgrevinck, leader of the expedition, to visit the Falklands in search of Lieutenant De Gerlache, the leader of the Belgian expedition, who was aware of M. Borchgrevinck's route. The latter might try and meet him, and put aside everything to assist him if necessary

The revolution in Guatemala has ended. The leader, General Morales, was captured in a cavern, but he died immediately from long exposure and hunger.
