Professor Theodor Mommsen, of the Uni- ' vorsity of Leipzic, the eminent German jurist and historian, who is now in his 81st year, believes France, Germany, and Russia will combine against Great Britain. Germany, he adds, will refuse to do England's dirty work. An Anglo-American alliance, the professor thinks, impossible.
