PU BLICATION RECIVED.

In the July number of the Windsor Magazine we find, as usual, an excellent bill of fare, constructed to tickle various palates ond satisfy diverse tasle-3. The lover of fiction i 1 - well taken care of, for Guy Boothby continues to foreshadow still deeper tragedies and mysteries in "Pharos the Egyptian." " Jennie Baxter, Journalist," continues her adventurous adventures, and several short stories comprise th<3 entrees. More solid fare is forthcoming in " With Nansen in the North" and "Don Carlos"; while Conan Doyle heads the chattily instructive articles with a crit-p '' King of the Foxes." An article on tennis and tennis players U rendered extremely amusing by reason of its iJliijtm lions, and the pictures which accompany "'From Hampton Court to London" are very pretty.

The August number of the " Phonographic Magazine and Typewriting News "' is to hand. This is one of the most creditable publications in Australasia, and that the efforts of Messrs Harvey and Cope, the editors and proprietors, are meeting with recognition is evidenced by the fact that it i 3 tho largest magazine in shorthand in the world, and the only illustrated publication of 'its kind. The August number would do ciedit in every respect to any country, and there is little doubt that the effort now being made to introduce the magazine in England will meet with success.
