I The following additional notices of our Chronological Record aud Supplementary Jubilee Number are to hand :—: — Clutha Free Press : " A striking memento of Otago'* Jubilee, . . . Wairarapa Daily Times : "To a Dunedin man it should ba ' m?&1i and drink.' It is well got up, and contains a store of information." Peslmeraton and Waikouaiti Times : " The Ob&jjo Daily Times and Witness Comply have distinguished Iheruse'.ves in journalistic enterprise, first in the publication of the Jubilee Number — a splendid conception, of which, we understand, over 30,000 cojpies hiive been sold — : a very high and the best'compliment the pro- ! proprietary could have received of the ercellenca of the issue s,nd the, so to speak, fullness of information given concerning the early history, progress, aud settlement ot Otago during the I paefc 50 yeare ; — and, secondly, the publication I of the Jubilee Supplementary Number, a copy of which now lies before us, in which they have again achieved distinction in pr.rn&'istie enteri prise. The Supplementary Number forms a i fitting companion to the Jubilee Number, and I ths illustrations, which are numerous, well 1 finished, and highly interesting, enhance the ', attractiveness, valu?, arid popularity of the I publication. . . . 'Old Identiana 5 consists of a compilation of incidents and anecdotes of the pioneer days of old settlers and a chronological index ot Obago settlement (1840-1898), making up what may be called a very useful and interesting number, ■which we can specially recommend, and oue which will give Home h-fends a good idea of what can ba done in New Zealand." The Wakalip Mail has also a kindly notice of the Jubilee Number, from which we extracb the following: — "The Jubilee Number issued by the Obsgo Daily Times and Witness Publishing Company in commemoration of the fiftieth unxiiversary or Jubilee of the province o? Otago 58 a work of art and great credit to the publishers ; it eclipses anything we have seen in the colony, . . . The edition will doubtless command a good deal of attention for years to come, and become more valuable as time goes by, marking as it does an important epoch ie the early history of this rising colony."
