A marine discovery of surpassing interest tot Hawke's Bay was made last week. In tha course of repairs to tha breastwork fronting Marray, Roberts, and Co.'s warehouse, ioine o£ bhe shattered piles had to be lifted, and these were found to be covered with mussels and real genuine oysters. They were quickly sampled by the spectators, and acclaimed as of excellent, flavour. Tee oyster seems to be of the roelc kind, similar to what we get down from Auckland. Considering that the piles have only beer, down aboub 18 months, the oyaters wera of good size, and from their number must be keganied as firmly established.
