Under " The Mining Districts Land Occupation Act 1894- " four applications for land were considered, of which one was approved and the others refused. 3 James Keill applied to transfer sections 3 and 12, block 111, Seaward Bush township, to Joseph P. Wood. — Transfer sanctioned on condition that Wood effects the required improvements within three months. A transfer from Joseph Wilson to Joseph Alderson of section 5, block XXIII, Longwood, was refused. Jamea Fmdlav applied for a transfer of section 34-, block X, Waiau (Memvale), to Agnes Findlay.-r ßeceived. Four orders of forfeiture were rescinded. One section was forfeited for non-compliance with conditions, and the license of another was not renewed because the holder had allowed the goree on the section to become a nuisance. Seven applications for time to pay rent were granted'; 'one forfeiture to be rescincled when the rent has been paid. - The proposals for the expenditure of tße thirds and fourths accrued by Wallace County Council to the amount of £198 4s 8d from Isfc November, 1897, were held over for a month. The Knapdala Road Board applied fot sanction to expend on work named the thirds and fourths accrued to 25th April, 1896.— Approved.An amended schedule by H. R.
