Owing to the msny j counter attractions it was with great difficulty ■ that the local club managed to get; a scratch team together— one link playing only three men , vjhilst their opponents claimed to have three of the strongest rinks that Timaru can provide. ' The green, owing to the early morning rain, "was heavy and against the chances of the local players, who have been accustomed to a keen green for some time past .
