OTHER CHURCH SERVICES.
The Rev. A. North preached both morning and evening. The text ia the morning was taken from Psalm xvi, 6: "The lines have fallen unto me in pleasant places." In the eveuiug Mr North's tfxii was taken from Proverbs xiv, 34 : " Bigateousnesß exalteta a

During the service the congregation sang the hymn " O God of Bethel," and the minister rtad the 72nd Psalm — the hymn sang and Scripture read at the servie'e on board the I Philip Laing before sailing. At both services there w&s a crowded attendance, and the church was nicely decorated for the occasion. At St. Paul's Cathedral on Sunday morning Archdeacon Robinson preached from the test John xii, 32 — "I, if I bs lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unfco Me." He based hia remarks oa " The Planting and History of the Chuteh of Otago " In the North Duutdin Presbyterian Church on Sunday evening last the Rev. I. K. M'lntyre took for his subject " The Jubilee. 1 ' The Rev. J. J. Lewis gave n discourse at Trinity Wesleyau Church on Sunday on " Otago in its Earliest Days." The R-sv. W. Saundsbs, at tho Moray PUicc Congregational {Juureh on Sunday moruiug, preached from John iv, 38 .- " These hare laboured, and yo aro entered into their labours." A thanksgiving servira was held in the South Dunedin Presbyterian Church on Suaday night. Tb'yre w&s a. largs congregation. The preacher ('.he P.C-. T Jo.'iy, M.A.) took as his text the woifS". " xJbtsrsczif 8&j iuj;, bicherto hath the Lord helped us " (I d^mutl, vii, 12). There was a crowded congregation at All Saints' on Sunday raoruing, the worshippers including the meu of B Battery, N.Z.R.A., who, under Lieutenaot Morris, attended with their bar.d. The service wao opened with the processional hyma '• Oaw&rd Christian soldie-ra." Th<j K->v. W. II Browne iutoned the prayers. Dean Fitchett preached on the subject cf the Jubilee from the text, " Except the Lord build the house their labour is but lost that build it; ; except the Lord keep the city the watchman waketh but in vain." At tho King street Congregational Church on Sunday night the Rev. G. Heighway, daring an eloquent sermon, made reference to the Jubilee of the proviace. Sunday being mid-lenb a PonMflcal High Mass was celebrated at St. Joseph's Cathedral. The church was crowded to the doors, not an inconsiderable number finding it a matter of difficulty to get icside. Bi?hop Veidon acted as celebrant, the Rev Father Rjnn as deacon, fcha Rev. Father Murphy eub-deseon, apd the Rev. Fathtr Oltary master of ceremonies. During the course oi an eloquent sermon the Rev. Father Ryan referred to the growth of the Catholic Church iv this province daring the past 30 yeara. Schools and churches had sprung up all ovee Otago, an.d r-veryv?here was to be found proofs of the generosity and the loyaity to their religion of the men who had sot forth from tha old land to raakft houses for themselves in this far-off distant Isnd. At St. Andrew's Church, the Rsv. Dr Waddell officiated at both services. The morning service was tbe quarterly communion, at which there wan a record attendance — the largest uumber ever present afe a communion in the church. The evening service had special reference to the Jubilee. At.Sfc. John's Church, Roslyn, on Sunday the Rev, F. Maj'no waa the preacher, aud took tor his text tha thicty-st-vecch verso oE the seventh chapter of St. John's Gospel. At Chalmyrs Church on Sunday the Ray. J. M. Fraser made some slight reference to the Jubilee of the province. A crowded audience flocked to the Garrison H.-<ll on Sunday night to hcir'The Rsv. T. Newbold preach a thaitk s giv!iig Jubilee ferraoa. Tbe Rev. T. G. "Brooke vetea-ed to the Jubilee of tbe Rctblemeufe of Ocago at thrf Cargill rond Wesleyan Church on Sunday. The Rev. Canon King, preaehin;; on Sunday at St. Petst's Church, C'.vershain, from the ttxh St. John xvii, 15-18, made a brief allusion to the Jubilee of tae Province of Otago. Children's services were held ab 3 o'clock in tbe afternoon in Kans Church and First Church. At the sbivnts 1 the children connected with the frund.jy rcjuois at the north end met, and at the latter those of tbe south end. Both churches were crowded with children and adults. The devotional exercises were conducted by the members of the various Sunday schools. At Knox Church the Rev. W. S. Holland, ot Melbourne, addressed the children, taking for his test the word " Look." The service afc Firsc Church was similar. The Rev. J. Mt'iklf']->hu, of Melbourne, addressed ths ehildreo.
