1 March 17. — We seem now likely to be fsvouied
1 with aspell of fine weather, which will be very i acceptable indeed a.s harvest is in full swing. 1 From what I can gather so far the crops are very patchy, generally light, aud scarcely up to the average. There are, however, a few exceptions, soms being very good. Where this is the case, by : thp present outlook of things the happy possessors will make quite a little rise. Stock.— Several lots of fat lambs have lately been sent from our district at- fairly gend prices. It is cuneitly rumoured that stoic sheep will be veiy cheai) this season. Library H\ll —Our friends on the north sina of the river h&d a good slathering at the fuitnal opening of their library hall, which is a very tieat structure, and quite a cedit to all concerned. The builder was Mr Littlejohns and he was also ,thß designer. School. — I am pleased to hear tha'c Miss Shore, our school teacher, is recovering from h«r illness. Her place is ctst easily filled as a teacher.
